Globally, PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) is the highest volume produced and most highly consumed plastic material, featuring in all aspects of our daily life, especially PET bottles, with millions consumed every day.

We need solutions for handling such consumer waste product, and USEON Foam Extrusion Technology can turn it into high value-added product PET foam board, which can be used to make composite materials for wind energy turbine, prefabricated room for train carriage, and marine applications.

Foam extrusion is one of our core competitive advantages, and we are committed to providing green solutions. Our solution uses environmental-friendly foaming agent, and recycled PET bottle flakes as raw material.

What’s PET Foam Core Material

PET foam’s core material is PET- polyethylene terephthalate.

PET foam is a closed-cell thermoplastic structural foam with certain shear and compression strength, and because of these mechanical properties, it is often used as the core material within a sandwich structure.

Features

  • Eco-friendly blowing agent
  • Variety of raw material sources (bottle flakes)
  • Reaction, mixing and foam extrusion in one step
  • Easy forming
  • Superior mechanical properties
  • Recyclable
  • High-temperature resistance

PET Foam Core Application

The mechanical properties of the PET foam core are related to the foam density. The higher the density, the better the mechanical properties, but at the same time the greater the weight, therefore the higher the cost. The fatigue resistance of PET foam core material is also better, better than some PVC foam core materials.

PET foam core material is widely used in construction, road transportation, rail transportation, aviation, communication, wind power, and various applications requiring such properties.
